PASSI MARINE SURVEYORS AND CONSULTANTS LLC was established in 1997 by its present Managing Partner and General Manager Captain R. K. Passi, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Department of Economic Development, Government of Dubai, United Arab Emirates and is presently celebrating the successful completion of 10 glorious years of commencement of its operations in December 2007.

The Company and its General Manager are duly approved and Certified by the Ministry of Economy in UAE to practice as Surveyors / Loss Adjusters and carry out vessel inspections. The Company is registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and approved by the Dubai Ports Authority and other different Port authorities of the United Arab Emirates.

During the first year after its inception, the Company (comprising of 2 Master Mariners at that time) received a total of 135 instructions from its client base of various Protection and Indemnity Associations, Ship-Owners, Charterers, Managers, Law firms, Shipping agents and leading Hull / Machinery as well as cargo underwriters. The Company's steady growth and popularity is evident from the number of instructions (448) received in 2007 from its varied local as well as international clientele.

The Company and its surveyors are approved and retained for carrying out Class surveys on behalf of China Corporation Register of Shipping and Flag State Inspections on behalf of Malta Maritime Authority, Barbados Maritime and SMA, Commonwealth of Dominica. With more than 330% growth in the number of successful assignments handled by our present staff, not to mention a huge resource of collective experience of 45 years in Marine Surveying in this region, we consider it to be a matter of great pride and association for any of our invaluable clientele.
