December 2003 - January 2004
Investigation into seawater ingress into the ship's cargo hold and ascertain the damage to containerized cargo on behalf of the vessel Charterers.
Injury to port mooring crew (long shore man) during berthing of a tanker. Attended on behalf of vessel's P & I Association to investigate the circumstances of the incident and obtain statements from the witnesses.
February - March 2004
Attended for towing / maneuvering and shifting a decommissioned oil platform as per Owners repair requirement.
Condition survey of a luxury yacht after extensive repairs / renewals for the purpose of insurance / registration.
April - May 2004
Attended on behalf of tanker vessels P & I Association to monitor discharge of about 29000 MT of Gas Oil to shore reception facility and reload after blending / adding Pour Point Depressant and assist the Master in documentation.
Attended on behalf of the cargo underwriters to investigate the circumstances of the reported sinking of vessel and verify the loss of its entire cargo of MDF board at sea.
Attended on behalf of the Owners at the ship yard to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident of grounding of a vessel and note, verify and record the extent of damage to the hull and the extent of repairs to be carried out as required by vessel's classification society.
Attended on behalf of P & I club to assess the condition of a Tanker prior to entry into the club.
June - August 2004
Consultancy and implementation of the ISPS code and development of ISPS manual for the entire fleet of 19 vessels of a Saudi Arabian Shipowner.
Attended on behalf of vessel's P & I Association to note, verify and record the condition of various consignments comprising of 42,000 MT Steel products, prior to and during the discharge operations.
Attended on behalf of Cargo Underwriters on alleged water damage to about 20000 MT out of the consignment of 58000 MT Brazilian Soybeans in ship's holds (Insured's anticipated claim around USD 3.3 Million)
Acted on behalf of Cargo Underwriters to ascertain the cause, nature and extent of damage to a Car-Carrier vessel's Main Engine after its break-down off the coast of Somalia. Vessel was towed to Dubai and General Average declared by Owners.
Attended on behalf of vessel's P & I Association to note, verify and record the condition of various consignments of Steel Project cargo prior to and during the discharge operation.
September - October 2004
Attended on behalf of the prospective buyers on board the different general / bulk / tanker vessels to carry out complete pre purchase inspections / surveys.
Acted on behalf of vessel's P & I Association to ascertain the cause, nature and extent of damage alleged by the receivers to the consignment of 32000 MT Portland cement in bulk.
November - December 2004
Acted on behalf of vessel's P & I Association to attend to discharge of sea-water contaminated bulk Copper Concentrates cargo during discharge from a Panamax bulk carrier with a breached hull, after having run aground off the coast of India.
Acted on behalf of vessel Charterer's P & I Associations to ascertain the cause, nature and extent of damage alleged to the different consignments comprising of about 13,000 MT of MDF Board / Timber, monitor the discharge operation and subsequently attended follow-up surveys and arrange salvage sale of rejected consignments.
Acted on behalf of vessel's P & I Association to ascertain the cause, nature and extent of leakage of 'Branched Alkyl Benzene' from flexitank-containers on board a 50,000 DWT container vessel. Thereafter monitor transfer of 'Branched Alkyl Benzene' to ISO tank containers.
