Various consignments of Frozen Chickens / Products contaminated
during carriage in vessel's hold with oily liquid.
Acted on behalf of vessel Charterer's P&I club and assisted in minimizing the loss and carried out an investigation into the cause of contamination.
April -May 1998
Potential claim of 1.4 Million US Dollars on Steel Rebars due to corrosion damage on arrival at destination.
Attended during discharge to monitor condition of cargo and subsequent negotiations with Consignee and follow up surveys to ascertain the extent of loss.
April 1998 To April 2000
A significant quantity, out of the full consignment of about 36000 MT of U.S. Hard Winter Wheat, rejected by reviewers in Iraq due to heat/ water damage.
Assisted cargo underwriters in ascertaining the extent of damage, monitoring discharge operations, ascertain the cause of damage and disposed at best salvage offer to minimize losses. Thereafter to assist the Solicitors in London during arbitration proceedings.
July 98 -February 99
Part of bulk consignment of 26250 MT of French Milling Wheat rejected from Iraq under allegation of rodent infestation.
Assisted with determination of condition of cargo, monitor the discharge operations and subsequent salvage disposal on behalf of Owner's P&I Association.
September 1998 - November 1998
Part of the break bulk consignment of over 10,000 MT Great Northern Beans in bags, rejected by the Consignees at Iraq.
Assisted with determination of cargo condition, monitoring of discharge operations and subsequent salvage disposal on behalf of Owners P&I Association.
